Hi everyone,
I was born 26 April 2008 at 12:47am in Roseburg, Oregon. I weighed 7lbs 2oz, and was 19" long.
In the 1st 24 hours of life, I met my mom, dad, brother, cousin, aunts, uncles, and all of my grandparents and got my 1st airplane ride.
I had a heart murmur and the doctors in Roseburg decided to run some test. They thought I might have some problems with my heart so my mom and I got a "Life Flight" to Oregon Health Sciences University and Doernbecher's Children Hosptial in Portland, Oregon. OHSU ran more tests and poked me alot to get some blood, to figure out what is going on with my heart. It turns out my heart issues are very rare forms of Aortic Atresia & Ventricular Septal Defect. Since then, I have had lots and lots of test, lots and lots of blood drawn, 3 Open Heart surgeries, 3 Cardiac Cathater surgeries, several days in Doernbecher's Children Hospital, several trips and visits to local doctors in Roseburg and Eugene, Oregon, 1 Life Flight, and 1 ambulance ride to OHSU. I have had a feeding tube in my nose my entire life and I have developed Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. As you can imagine, I have run up lots and lots of medical expenses. My parents medical insurance covers a lot of the expenses, but not all of them.
